Hydrogen Bromide Gas (HBr) Anhydrous

What is hydrogen bromide?

Anhydrous hydrogen bromide (HBr) is a corrosive, irritating, colorless, toxic gas that is delivered in liquid state under its own vapor pressure. Hydrogen bromide is created as a result of the reaction between highly pure hydrogen and elemental bromine, along with the reaction between sulfuric acid and specific brominated metals.

Hydrogen bromide uses

There are many hydrogen bromide uses, for example high purities of hydrogen bromide are used in in precision plasma etching processes by the electronics industry, and in smaller measures, as a catalyst in pharmaceuticals.

We offer PurityPlus® 2.8 (Chemically Pure) Hydrogen Bromide with impurities totaling less than 2000 parts per million, that can be purchased in one of our various cylinder sizes. We supply 400 series stainless steel regulators to be used with HBr to guarantee customers receive maximum efficiency with this product.
